“How shall I make a return to the Lord for all the good he had done for me?”
~ Psalm 116:12
Blessed Sacrament is very fortunate to have a large number of dedicated volunteers but we can always use more.
In addition to assisting the staff in fulfilling our mission, our volunteers get to know their fellow parishioners and many good friendships have been Formed.
Blessed Sacrament has a variety of volunteer opportunities:
-
Serving on committees
-
Working in the parish office assisting with clerical work or large mailings
-
Helping with the Church cleaning
-
Helping to keep the grounds beautiful
-
Assist with fund raising, grant writing or future planning for the parish
-
Helping with the Next to New Sale or Christmas Tree Sale
-
Helping with the Supper Program
You can also volunteer to be a reader or minister of Holy Communion at Mass on Sunday.
You can decide if you wish to serve regularly on an activity or if you just want to donate your time on a periodic basis.
The Next to New Sales are held twice a year (May and October), and volunteer help is needed approximately 3 weeks prior to the sale and during the sale. The Next to New Sale welcomes all help – even a 2-hour block of volunteer time is appreciated. The Next to New Sale raises over $50,000 a year and is our largest fund raiser.
The Christmas Tree Sale runs from the Wednesday after Thanksgiving until Christmas week. Volunteers are scheduled for 2-hours shifts and you can volunteer as often as you wish during the Christmas season. The Christmas Tree Sale is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer as a family and an opportunity to meet your fellow parishioners.
